Efforts v/s Results

What does an Individual Expects?
Individuals expects appreciation for their EFFORTS.

What does Management Expects?
Management Expects POSITIVE RESULTS, which will lead towards the growth of the organization and individual’s associated with it.

Personal our professional life is a two way process, when you give something you expect something in return.

In our professional life, we all work for money, but money it not the only thing that provides you satisfaction and comfort, it is the amalgamation of lot of things that leads towards a Job satisfaction. 

We all work very hard in life to achieve our goals set in our personal and in professional life. We all put lot of efforts to achieve our GOALS. We all get goals set by our management after having discussion and establishing consensus on it with us. We all plan our activities to achieve our goals.

It is very important for an individual to understand the expectations of the management and at the same time management should understand the needs of its people to provide desired outcome.

We know that all our efforts may not return us the positive results, what management expects, so is it right to expect APPRECIATION from Management?

When your people do not deliver the expected results even after putting lot of efforts, as a management, is it right not to appreciate them?

Well as per my experience and prudence to this topic, I think individuals should understand that organization will only grow if the result of their efforts is positive and as per the expectations, this is when the organization witnesses growth and as a result individual’s gets appreciation for their contribution.
But management needs to recognize sincere efforts of its people as many times even after doing everything right the end result is not in your favor. Management needs to motivate people, if it sees right efforts from its people. This will keep morale high and people will strive to deliver positive results.

Business is nothing but give and take and this law is applicable everywhere, the key to success and satisfaction is to have clear understanding and setting expectations right.

Efforts not giving desired outcome should receive motivation to deliver desired output in future and Efforts giving desired result deserves appreciation to deliver in more productive manner.
